Hey guys and gals! Writing to you from Yakima Washington after an amazing night in Seattle. We got here to the hotel about 5am and slept for a few hours... About to head out to Spokane for another show tonight! Getting to play Seattle is a special thing for us because when we were 13 years old the Seattle scene was happening and it blew our minds to hear rock n roll like Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. We want to bring real, honest rock back to the radio and it was awesome to get to play in the place where that started for us when we were just learning how to strum a guitar or hit a drum. Thanks to an awesome crowd and we'll see you again soon Seattle!

Oregon has been awesome to hang out in this week. Everyone up here is super nice and very laid back. It reminds us of the south in a lot of ways, but the weather is cooler and that's a welcome change! We did a radio performance yesterday aftermoon and then we took it easy yesterday afternoon. Had a good meal for the first time in a while and went thrift store shopping. We shot a bunch of pool before the show and sampled some of the local Oregon brews which are delicious might i add :) We felt really good about the show. I broke a snare drum head on the last song, which means we must have been rockin' pretty hard ! :) We drove after the show to Portland where we are now and we're hoping in the van to drive up to Seattle for a show tonight at The ShowBox! Salt lake city... What can I say? The last 2 days have been a blast. Dinner at the red iguana , which was one of the best Mexican places we've been on the west coast was a great way to cap last night after the flight from San Jose! Today we hit 2 radio stations and made some great new friends. I've gotta say we didn't know what to expect of the show tonight since it was our first headlining show in SLC, but you guys came through for us! Everyone was very cool and enthusiastic and it made for a great night. Can't wait to come back and rock it again! Here some pictures from the last couple days... Hey All!


Neil here. Writing to you from Beautiful Salt Lake City. We are going to give this blogging everyday thing a shot and we'll be posting new pictures and random stuff from the road here on americanbang.com everyday or so. We started a new tour last week after playing what i think was all of our favorite hometown show ever. We did a benefit for our good friends Chris and Telisha Cobb who recently had a baby girl named Bella that was born at 4.5 months. She is doing well and has already proven herself to be a fighter. We played to a sold out crowd and were able to raise over $16,000 to help with their medical expenses! Thanks again to everyone in Nashville for coming together and making a great night for everyone involved.

From Nashville we drove to Kansas City where we started the tour we'll be on for the next 2 months with our new friends Saving Abel, We Are The Fallen and Taddy Porter. All really great southern dudes and one girl :) We had a great show in KC!






From KC it was on to Witchita where we spent some time painting our guitar amps and where we also got some new merch to sell on the road! It was our first time playing Witchita and it was a really cool venue and we met a lot of really cool peeps before and after the show!












Next we were off to Denver for a couple shows by ourselves .... Every time we get to Colorado we seem to have some sort of van trouble and this time was no different! We got a flat tire about 100 miles outside of Denver and spent an hour changing that before we arrived for the show.










Whiskey and beers were had at the venue and then we were quickly off after the show to the hotel to prep for our early flight to San Jose the next morning.










We spent the last day and a half in San Jose and San Francisco! We flew in to do an acoustic performance for a great radio station KSJO in San Jose at a contest winners house in San Fran. When we arrived at the house it was overlooking the pacific ocean with a great view. We met Kayla the radio contest winner and a whole bunch of friends. Everyone was very cool to us and we had a great time playing and drinking some local "Anchorsteam" beers. It was a special day for us because we played our first show as a band on the 4th of July at a backyard BBQ 5 years ago! Pretty cool to have made it 5 years and to be spending the anniversary reliving the beginning all over again.

This morning we got up and flew here to Salt Lake City where we are playing tomorrow at The Avalon Ballroom. Looking forward to shows in Eugene, Bend and Seattle later this week as well!!! More Soon!

Our friends Chris & Telisha Cobb have played a large role in the Nashville entertainment & music community for many years. Their daughter, Arabella Ann Cobb came to us very early at 22 weeks on the evening of Tuesday May 18th, 2010 weighing in at 1lb.

For several weeks now Arabella exudes the strength of her parents and has continued to grow while fighting against infection and problematic kidneys & lungs. While there is still a long road ahead, we would like to invite everyone to the Exit/In on Monday June 28th to celebrate the life of little Baby Bella.
