1.00 Carat Diamond Prices

Do any of you know about 1.00 Carat diamond prices? I am entertaining the thought of investing in diamonds. I have been told that 1.00 carat diamonds are pretty good; so I have been thinking of buying a pair of 1.00 carat diamond earrings. I have not canvassed yet so I have no idea on 1.00 carat diamond prices.
As to when I will buy, I just have to figure out the 1.00 carat diamond prices and then I am all set. I have been saving up for a good investment for a while so my savings have already ballooned. In fact I have been told to just invest in real estate—but I have my reservations. I am not very risky with my money, and I do not want to put it in a place that could lose its value.
